IMMACULATA, Pa.- The No. 3-seeded Mighty Macs (14-3) are headed to the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Semifinals for the sixth consecutive season as they defeated No. 6 Gwynedd Mercy on Saturday afternoon at Draper Walsh Stadium, 20-11, for their tenth consecutive victory.

The Macs had six players score at least two goals and senior

Layne Kennedy scored five times, freshman Maura Murray scored four, seniors
Rosemarie Reitman and
Hannah Verrecchia scored three, and senior
Olivia Carter and freshman Jamy Krewson scored twice.
Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Macs started well, scoring three of the first four behind goals from Kennedy, Murray, and Verrecchia to take a 3-1 lead, but the Griffins scored three straight in less than three minutes to take a brief 4-3 lead
-In danger of falling behind by two goals, junior goalie Lex Goerlach made a big stop on a free position attempt and the Macs responded on the other end with Kennedy's second of the half to tie it
-That goal touched off a run of six straight to build the Macs up to a 9-4 lead. Krewson, Verrecchia, Kennedy, Reitman, and DiDonato all scored in the run as five different Macs contributed to the six straight goals
-Gwynedd scored a goal to halt the run, but the Macs bounced back with five more from Carter, Reitman, Verreccha, Krewson, and Murray before a Griffin goal sent the game to the locker room at 14-6. Dominick assisted on five first half goals
-The Macs left no doubt early in the second half as their lead ballooned to 11 goals behind tallies from Kennedy, Murray, and Carter
-The teams alternated goals, before Dominick set the school record with her sixth assist on a goal by Murray, and Kennedy finished the IU scoring before three straight by Gwynedd to end it
