IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Immaculata University Department of Athletics and Recreation held its annual end-of-year athletic banquet on Sunday afternoon in Alumnae Hall to honor the 50 senior student-athletes as well as those student-athletes who received All-CSAC, all-academic and weekly awards during the 2015-16 year.

Highlighting the banquet festivities were the presentations of the most outstanding male and female senior athlete and the most outstanding male and female senior scholar-athlete awards.Â
Diana Cusick swept the female awards as she was named Immaculata's most outstanding female senior athlete and most outstanding female scholar-athlete.Â
Angel Chimal Rodriguez was the honored as Immaculata's most outstanding male senior athlete, and
Mark Hueber took home the most outstanding male senior scholar-athlete.

Cusick is a three-year member of the women's cross country team and track & field teams, and team captain of both squads this year. She is majoring in Allied Health Science through the Thomas Jefferson Program with a concentration in Radiography, and she is minoring in Psychology. The West Chester, Pa., native was named First Team All-CSAC in 2015 to follow up her Second Team All-CSAC selection in 2014. She was the individual runner-up at the 2015 CSAC Championship, helping the team to a runner-up finish at the conference championship, tying the best finish in program history.

She has been named CSAC Runner of the Week twice in her career, and selected to the CSAC Weekly Honor Roll three times in cross country. This spring, she was named CSAC Track Athlete of the Week once.

She had two individual first-place finishes, and one runner-up placing during her cross country career. She also had eight finishes in the top 5 and 12 in the top 10. She holds five indoor track school records (800 Meter, 1000M, 1 mile, 3000M, 4x800M relay), and is the Immaculata record holder in four outdoor events (800M, 1500M, 1 mile, 4x800M relay).

Cusick is a member of the Immaculata National Honor Society, and has earned Immaculata Dean's List five times. She is a three-time member of the Fall CSAC All-Academic Team, and was selected to the
Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Women's Cross Country Team in 2015. She was also named a USTFCCCA All-Academic Individual in 2015. Immaculata women's cross country has been selected as an USTFCCCA All-Academic Team in 2013, 2014 and 2015 while Cusick has been a part of the team. Immaculata also received the CSAC Team Academic Award in 2015.

Cusick serves as the Community Service Chair for the National Society of Leadership and Success. She is also a member of Catholic Athletes for Christ, crew member of the Immaculata Love Your Melon Crew, member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee during 2014. She participated in the Campus Ministry New Orleans Service Project and West Virginia Service Projects. She serves as a Resident Assistant and worked as Summer Housing and Projects Assistant for Immaculata University.

Chimal Rodriguez has been a four-year member of both the cross country and track & field teams, and a two-year captain of both teams during his junior and senior seasons. He was an USTFCCCA Mideast All-Region selection in 2014, the 2014 CSAC individual champion, and individual runner-up at the 2015 CSAC Championship. He earned All-CSAC honors in cross country all four years as a three-time First Team All-CSAC selection (2013, 2014, 2015) and Second Team All-CSAC choice in 2012.

He was named CSAC Cross Country Runner of the Week 11 times during his career andselected to the CSAC Cross Country Honor Roll five times. This season, The Kennett Square, Pa., native has earned CSAC Men's Outdoor Track Honor Roll three times this season.

For his career, he ran in 31 races with 10 first-place finishes and seven times as runner-up. He also finished in the top 5 at three other events. Chimal Rodriguez led the men's cross country team to fourth-place finishes at the 2014 and 2015 CSAC Championships.

Chimal Rodriguez is the school record holder in seven school indoor events (500 Meter, 800M, 1000M, 1 mile, 3000M, 5000M, 4x400M relay), and he holds the IU record in eight outdoor events (800M, 1500M, 1 mile, 3000M, 3000M steeplechase, Â 5000M, 4x400M relay, 4x800M relay). He won the 800M, 1500M and 5000M at the 2015 CSAC Invitational, and the 1500M and 3000M at the 2014 CSAC Quad Meet.
Hueber, a History major who is graduating in three years, was a three-year member of both the men's basketball and men's tennis teams.
He has earned Dean's List five times, and is a member of the Immaculata Honors College, Honors Society, Delta Epsilon Sigma and Kappa Gamma Pi National Honor Societies, and Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities. He has twice earned CSAC Winter/Spring All-Academic Team recognition. The men's tennis team was named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All Academic Team in 2015, and Hueber was an ITA Scholar Athlete.Â

On campus, Hueber was a member of Duffy's Cut dig crew and intern, a note taker work study and member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. He interned with the Temple University men's basketball program. He is the founder of the Joe Walsh Memorial 3 on 3 Tournament, which has raised over $7,500 for suicide prevention, and he has participated in the Autism Awareness Walk three times.

Hueber served as captain for the IU men's basketball team his sophomore and junior seasons, and was captain for men's tennis during 2016. He appeared in 50 basketball games during his three-year career scoring 18 points, grabbing 46 rebounds, handing out 12 assists, blocking three shots and making four steals.

On the tennis court, Hueber was First Team All-CSAC in doubles in 2015 and Second Team All-CSAC in doubles during 2016. He was a Honorable Mention All-CSAC selection in singles during the 2014 season. He has a career 5-14 singles mark, including 5-6 in CSAC matches, and a 14-17 career doubles mark, and 11-8 in CSAC matches.

Others honored on Sunday were Immaculata's All-CSAC selections, CSAC weekly award winners, Mighty Mac of the Week honorees, CSAC Sportsmanship Award winners, and the all-academic team members. In all, Immaculata celebrated the achievements of all the student-athletes during the past year for their play and in the classroom.
