ASTON, Pa.-The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) released their Fall 2013 All-Academic Team on Wednesday afternoon, and for the second consecutive semester, Immaculata led all conference institutions with 73 members. The CSAC All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a grade-point average of 3.20 or higher during their semester of competition, while using a full season of eligibility as determined by the NCAA.
Immaculata led all institutions with 73 of the 542 honorees in the CSAC, followed by Marywood University (64), Cabrini College (57), Gwynedd Mercy University (55) and Neumann University (47).
Volleyball and women's soccer led all fall teams with 13 members each, followed closely by field hockey and women's tennis, who each had 12 representatives on the team. Men's soccer had 11 student-athletes on the all-academic team, followed by women's cross country with eight, and men's cross country with four members.
"Each one of these student-athletes should be commended," said CSAC Commissioner Jennifer Dubow. "It is great to see that so many have excelled not only athletically, but also academically. These student-athletes truly demonstrate the NCAA Division-III philosophy of enjoying a full collegiate experience, and they more than deserve this recognition."
