IMMACULATA, Pa.- Immaculata senior first baseman
Matt Hardy continues to add to his career accolades as the American Baseball Coaches' Association (ABCA) has named him to Third Team All-Mid-Atlantic region. This recognition comes on top of being named to D3 Baseball's Third Team All-Mid-Atlantic as well as Second Team All-CSAC.
This is the second time in his career that Hardy has been recognized by the ABCA as he was named Second Team All-Mid-Atlantic region for his outstanding 2012 campaign.
In 2013, Hardy was the Mighty Macs best offensive player and led the team in several offensive categories. He was tops in average (.389), runs scored (34), hits (42), doubles (12), triples (5), RBIs (29), slugging percentage (.704), walks (33), on-base percentage (.559), stolen bases (24), and he was tied for the lead in home runs (4) and hit by pitches (10). His stolen base total and on-base percentage are both new single season records for the program.
Hardy finished his Immaculata career with a program-best .384 average. He will also leave Immaculata as the all-time leader in games played (142), at bats (469), hits (180), runs scored (146), doubles (49), triples (17), home runs (18), RBIs (143), total bases (317), walks (106), stolen bases (77), and hit by pitches (27).
