Klinger Named Academic All-Area

PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- Senior T.J. Klinger was named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Men's Tennis team as voted on by the sports information offices of the 28 area institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area.  In order to be eligible for Academic All-Area, an athlete must be in his second year at the institution and hold a cumulative grade-point average of 3.20 or better.
 
Klinger was named to the six member squad on Monday morning after an outstanding final season with the men's tennis team.  Klinger was a perfect 7-0 in CSAC play this season which helped him earn First Team All-CSAC honors as a singles' player.  He was 12-2 overall and won his match in the semifinal victory over Baptist Bible to help the team reach their first conference championship in school history.
 
In doubles play, along with senior partner Joe Walker, Klinger went 9-5 and 4-3 in CSAC play helping the pair earn Honorable Mention All-CSAC.
