Golf Finishes Up NCAA Championship

DESTIN, Fla. – The Immaculata University golf team completed round two at the NCAA Division III Golf Championship on Wednesday firing a 335, which was nine strokes lower than its opening round. The Mighty Macs played The Link Golf Club today which is a par-72, 6,636-yard course.
 
However, Immaculata missed the cut to advance to the final 36 holes of play at the championship with a 36-hole score of 679 (344-335). The NCAA cut the field to the top 15 teams and top six individuals, not on one of those teams, to advance to Thursday and Friday's third and final rounds before crowning a champion. 
 
Junior Peter Kotula turned in the best round of the day for Immaculata of 82, while sophomore Aaron Harper and senior Todd Boisvert both finished with rounds of 84. Freshman Bryan Missimer signed for an 85, while senior Tim Eckert came in with a score of 93.
 
Harper finished the tournament in a tie for 158th with a score of 166 (82-84), and Boisvert tied for 162nd at 167 (83-84). Kotula combined for a 173 (91-82), Missimer a 177 (92-85) and Eckert at 181 (88-93).
