SCRANTON, Pa. – Immaculata University's men's cross country team placed fifth at the 2012 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championships held at McDade Park. The Mighty Macs collected a total of 141 points.
Immaculata's
Angel Chimal Rodriguez had the highest finish, coming in 11th overall with a time of 28:42.5. Chimal Rodriguez was named to the Second Team All-CSAC with his finish.
Stash Grab was the 15th runner to cross the finish line with a clocking of 29:53.5, and
Stu Rial finished with a run of 31:14.3, which placed him in 26th.
Dustin Gramig and
Ryan Sheehan finished back-to-back in 44th and 45th, respectively. Gramig finished in 34:27 while Sheehan ran the course in 34:58.4.
Kris Panos finished with a time of 37:07.5 in 55th place, and
Will Martin came in 57th in 37:33.3.
Gwynedd-Mercy won the 2012 CSAC title with 25 points. Keystone (47) and Marywood (66) rounded out the top three. The Griffins' Brett Kubiak also took home the individual crown with a time of 26:46.3.
Rial was also named to the CSAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
Immaculata next competes at the NCAA Mideast Regional in Newville, Pa., on Nov. 10 at 11 a.m.
