IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University's men's and women's cross country teams head to Scranton, Pa., on Saturday, Oct. 27, for the 2012 Colonial States Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships hosted by Marywood University.
Both the men's and women's championship will be held at McDade Park, with the men's 8K beginning at 11 a.m. followed by the women's 5K at noon.
Immaculata's men's cross country team had its highest finish in a conference championship during 2011 when in placed fourth overall. Junior
Stash Grab has earned Second Team All-CSAC accolades each of the last two seasons, and hopes to place among the top 14 runners in the CSAC again this season. Grab most recently was honored on the CSAC Weekly Honor Roll on Oct. 22.

Angel Chimal Rodriguez, who has been one of the Mighty Macs' top runners during his rookie campaign. Chimal Rodriguez has earned CSAC Runner of the Week honors twice this season. He has finished in the top 10 in five of the six races for Immaculata during 2012.
Stu Rial completes a consistent top three for the Mighty Macs in 2012. Rial placed 25th when the Mighty Macs took part in the Marywood Invitational earlier this season in a preview of the championship course.
The women's cross country team hopes to improve on its finish from a season ago, which saw the Mighty Macs place 11th. Immaculata placed seventh at the Marywood Invitational on Sept. 1.
Freshman
Caroline Tarlo has led the Immaculata field in all six races this season, and could again pace the Mighty Macs Saturday. Immaculata is hoping to have strong performances from returners
Angela Mastriana and
Paige Eyler along with newcomers
Lauren Beckley,
Nuri Jeong and
Caroline Mack. Mastriana finished 47th while Eyler came in 61st at the 2011 conference meet.
