Kara Trowbridge was honored by the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) on Thursday morning when the league announced its women's tennis all-conference awards. Trowbridge was named to the Honorable Mention All-CSAC Team.
Trowbridge posted an 8-2 CSAC singles record while going 6-1 at the No. 4 singles position. She also played third singles in three matches with a 2-1 mark. Trowbridge's only loss at fourth singles was to Gwynedd-Mercy's Chelsea Jones, 6-1, 6-4, who was a First Team All-CSAC selection. Some of her other notable wins at No. 4 were against Keystone's Julia Sherry, 6-2, 6-1, and Neumann's Teresa Kozin, 6-4, 6-2. Trowbridge's only other CSAC singles loss during the season was at No. 3 to Cabrini's Nicole Broccolino, 6-1, 6-2.
Overall, Trowbridge carried a singles mark of 10-6 and posted a 7-10 overall doubles record.
Also honored by the CSAC was junior
Theresa Martini on the CSAC All-Sportsmanship Team. Martini played No. 3 singles and both No. 1 and No. 2 doubles for the Mighty Macs this past season. Martini posted an overall singles mark of 3-9 and went 5-10 in doubles action.
