Golf Finishes Fifth At CSAC Championships

AVONDALE, Pa. - Immaculata University finished in fifth place at the 2010 Colonial States Athletic Conference Golf Championships held at Inniscrone Golf Club on Sunday afternoon. The Mighty Macs fired a 348 on the second day to finish with a two-day total of 697.
Immaculata freshman Todd Boisvert shot an 84 today to finish with a composite score of 166, placing him in a tie for ninth place. Boisvert's finish earned him second team All-CSAC honors. Immaculata head coach Tana Thomas was honored as the league's coach of the year for the second straight season.
Tim Eckert carded an 89 on day two for a 36-hole score of 175 and placing 19th. Zach Robie shot a 90 for a two-round total of 180 and finished 23rd. Sean Rowan shot the second-lowest round for the Mighty Macs on day two with an 85, moving him into 24th place with a 181, and Brennen McNichol carded a 92, finishing at 183, and in 25th place.
Keystone College won its first CSAC championships after firing a second round score of 316 for an overall score of 647 to edge Cabrini College by two strokes. The Giants entered the day in third place and 10 strokes behind the Cavaliers, who were the first-day leaders. Neumann University finished third with a 674 (329-346).
Cabrini's Chris Lawler won medalist honors with a two-day total of 149 (74-75).
Immaculata's Jeff DiGiacomo was also recognized by the conference, being selected to the CSAC Sportsmanship Team.
