Golf Ties For Fifth At Franklin & Marshall Invitational

LITITZ, Pa. - Immaculata University's golf team fired a round of 316 to tie Neumann University for fifth at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational on Monday afternoon at the par 71, 6,232-yard Bent Creek Country Club.

The Mighty Macs round of 316 marked the lowest team composite round in school history.

Tim Eckert led the Mighty Macs with a one-over par 72, which placed in fourth overall in the 83-player field. Zach Robie tied for 31st overall after a round of 80. Brennan McNichol and Sean Rowan both signed for 82's that placed them in a tie for 43rd. Todd Boisvert rounded out the team shooting an 84, good to tie him in 55th place.

Host Franklin & Marshall took home the team title after shooting a 296 to best Messiah (302), which came in second, by six strokes. The only other CSAC school in the 17-team field was Keystone, which finished 13th with a score of 328.

Messiah's Corey Wenger won medalist honors after defeating F&M's Andrew Woods in a one-hole playoff. Both shots rounds of 70 during the afternoon.

Immaculata hosts the Immaculata Spring Invitational on Thursday afternoon at Inniscrone Golf Club in Avondale, Pa. The Mighty Macs will tee things off at 12:15 p.m.
