IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata women's basketball forward Chelsea McTigue has added another esteemed honor to her plethora of awards this season after being named to the D3Hoops.com Mid-Atlantic Region Third Team, the web site announced today.
McTigue was named to the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) First Team, and was a three-time winner of the league's player of the week award and once on the weekly honor roll. McTigue was also honored for her achievements in the classroom as an ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 2 Third Team selection.
McTigue led Immaculata in scoring and field goal percentage, averaging 15.7 points per game on 147 of 297 (.495) from the field, while listing second on the club with 7.3 rebounds per game. The West Chester, Pa., native finished the 2009-10 season sixth in the CSAC in scoring and 11th in rebounding, while her field goal percentage listed fifth.
McTigue is joined on the Mid-Atlantic Third Team by Cabrini's Alyssa Brady, Moravian's Kate Harrison, Fairleigh Dickinson's Danielle Michlovsky and Penn State – Berks' Courtney Bailey.
Immaculata (16-20) wrapped up its 2009-10 campaign reaching the CSAC semifinals.
