Boyd Earns CSAC Player Of The Week Honor

ASTON, Pa. - Immaculata University men's basketball sophomore guard John Boyd was selected as the Colonial States Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the period ending February 7. It marks the second weekly conference honor this season for the Trappe, Pa., native. Boyd was selected to the honor roll on Jan. 17.
Boyd led Immaculata to a 2-0 mark in the league last week, including a 66-60 win against Gwynedd-Mercy to edge the Mighty Macs into second place in the league standings. He averaged 16.0 points and 5.0 rebounds last week while going 12 of 27 (.444) from the field including 5-for-12 (.417) from behind the arc. He tied for team-high honors with 18 points, including three three-pointers, and grabbed six rebounds against the Griffins. He also tallied 14 points against Philadelphia Biblical.
This season, Boyd is averaging 13.3 points and 4.4 rebounds per outing.
Immaculata returns to the court tonight, Feb. 8, traveling to Keystone for a 7 p.m. tip.
