ASTON, Pa. – Immaculata University's men's lacrosse team was selected to finish sixth in the 2010 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) preseason poll Tuesday, as voted on by the league's head coaches. The Mighty Macs garnered a total of 15 points in the process.
Defending champion Cabrini College is the favorite to capture its 10th consecutive title after receiving all seven first place votes for 49 total points. Conference runner-up Marywood University was picked second with 42 points.
Gwynedd-Mercy College was projected third with 29 points, and Centenary College edged out Shenandoah University for fourth place with 25 points.
Shenandoah (23) ended up fifth while Neumann University rounded out the voting in seventh with 13 points.
The top four teams from the regular season qualify for the CSAC Tournament which begins on Tuesday, May 4.
Immaculata embarks on its 2010 campaign on Wednesday, March 3 traveling to Kean at 6 p.m.
