ASTON, Pa. – The Colonial States Athletic Conference announced Sunday that Immaculata University men's basketball sophomore guards
John Boyd and Robert Siter each earned spots on the All-CSAC second team as voted upon by the league's head coaches.
Boyd has averaged 14.6 points and 4.7 rebounds during 25 games this season, ranking second on the team in both categories. He has been selected as the CSAC player of the week once and also been on the weekly honor roll once. In conference games, he ranks fourth in the CSAC in scoring (16.4) and is sixth in made three-pointers (29).
The Trappe, Pa., native has eclipsed the 20-point mark six times this season, including five times against conference opponents, led by his season-high 26 points on 10 of 14 (.714) shooting against Marywood. He has scored in double figures in 17 of the 18 league games.
Siter, a starter in 22 of 25 contests this season, is averaging a team-leading 15.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.2 steals per outing. In conference games, Siter ranks fifth in scoring (16.2), first in steals (2.3) and ninth in field goal percentage (.520). He was selected to the league's weekly honor roll on Dec. 13.
The Yeadon, Pa., native reached double figures in scoring in 16 of 18 CSAC games, and reached the mark in 22 of 25 games overall this season. He scored 20-plus points in four conference tilts, led by a season-best 28 points against Centenary on 11-for-20 from the field. The sophomore also had 25 points after going 10 of 14 against Marywood.
It marks the first all-conference honor for either Boyd or Siter.
Freshman guard TJ Klinger was named as the CSAC Sportsmanship Award winner. Klinger has seen action in 12 contests for the Mighty Macs this season, averaging 1.2 points and 0.6 rebounds.
The No. 4-seed Mighty Macs (14-11, 12-6 CSAC) host No. 5 seed Gwynedd-Mercy (13-12, 12-6) in a CSAC Tournament quarterfinal game at Alumnae Hall on Monday, Feb. 22, at 7 p.m.
