Golf Team Gears Up For CSAC Championships

IMMACULATA, Pa. - The Immaculata University golf team will look to claim its first Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championship this weekend, as the Mighty Macs seek to defend their home course, Broad Run Golfer's Club in West Chester, Pa., as it plays host for the two-day conference championship, held Saturday and Sunday, April 25-26. 

The Mighty Macs will tee things off from Broad Run, a par-72, 6,396 yard course, at 1:20 p.m. Saturday. Click here for directions to the golf course.

Immaculata was picked to finish third in the CSAC pre-season poll this season. Last season, the Mighty Macs finished sixth at the conference championship.

Local products Chris Ware and Sean Rowan has been the most consistent golfers for the Mighty Macs this season. Ware's 83.4 stroke average lead the teams heading into the championships while Sean Rowan has an 87.6 stroke average.

In Immaculata's two tournaments at Broad Run this year, Rowan carded an 80 and 85, and Ware signed for an 82. Rob Blair and Zack Robie have also performed well on the course with an 84 and 88, respectively, at the Immaculata Invitational held on April 1.
